Singles Awareness Day:
yup, its feb. 14th. and i still hate valentines day. pretty sure i always will. i think that the color scheme of this holiday has a lot to do with it. pink and red. ugh. whatever. i mostly hate it because its just a stupid day for couples to get together and be together. why celebrate it on one day? shouldn't you be greatful for each other everyday? i feel like it puts a lot of pressure on single women to find someone before then just to have someone on that day. if i ever get married. we will NOT celebrate. i am going to try my best to show him that i love him every day. not just one out of the year.
on a good note. people should look up the history behind st. valentine. he is a really cool dude. apparently there was a ceasar who banned marriage becuse he thought that was why soldiers didnt want to go to war. go figure. st. valentine risked his life to marry people in secret. when he was caught he was put in prison. he became good friends with some woman who came to see him everyday. on the day of his execution (Feb 14th) she went to see him and found a note to her. it was signed "from your valentine" now that is some cool stuff. next time you think of valentines day. try to think about St Valentine and the sacrifices he made for love. and Jesus too while your at it. thats what real love is. not some pink and red puke fest. well, wherever you are and whoever you're with. have a good singles awareness day.
